Meet Kendal Pritchard, CMHC

Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor

I’ve been practicing since 2012, and I truly love the work I get to do. My path has taken me across the country—growing up in Maryland, studying undergraduate psychology in North Carolina, earning my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in Oregon, and eventually making my home in Utah. Each step has given me the chance to experience different communities, cultures, and perspectives, which has shaped the way I see people and the healing process.

In my practice, I strive to create a warm, supportive space where clients feel safe to be themselves. I believe therapy should feel like a collaboration, where we work together to discover what matters most to you and how to move toward the life you want to live. My approach blends CBT (including ERP for OCD), ACT, and humanistic principles, allowing me to tailor treatment to each person’s needs and goals.

I specialize in working with eating disorders, anxiety, OCD, life transitions and losses, and faith transitions. At the heart of my work is a passion for helping people feel empowered—to loosen the grip of painful narratives and reconnect with their strengths, values, and potential. I deeply believe that every person is capable of growth and change, no matter how stuck or overwhelmed they may feel.

My hope is that our work together not only helps you move through challenges, but also helps you rediscover self-compassion, empowerment, and a deep sense of possibility for the life you want to create.

Anxiety

Anxiety can feel like constant worry, restlessness, or a racing mind that makes it hard to be present. It can disrupt sleep, relationships, and daily life, leaving you feeling stuck in a cycle of stress and fear.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

Obsessive–compulsive disorder often shows up as unwanted thoughts or images paired with urges or rituals that briefly ease the discomfort. Over time, it can take over your day, drain your energy, and leave you feeling trapped and alone with your struggle.

Loss, Change, and Shifting Beliefs

Life changes — whether the loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or a shift in faith — can stir up grief, confusion, and uncertainty. These moments can shake your sense of identity and belonging, making it hard to feel grounded as you navigate what comes next.

Eating Disorders

Eating disorders are not just about food — they can shape how you see yourself, affect your health, and create distance between you and the people or activities you care about. They often carry shame and isolation, making it hard to feel at peace in your own body.

Growth

Therapy isn’t only for times of pain — it’s also a place to grow. Together, we can explore your strengths, clarify what matters most to you, and create space for a more grounded and meaningful life.

Services

I offer 45-minute individual therapy sessions for clients ages 16 and up. My private practice is located at River Hollow Mental Health. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, OCD, eating concerns, life transitions, grief, or faith-related challenges, my goal is to provide a supportive and collaborative space tailored to your unique needs.
